Vishudha Kali/Moon Far Away - Vorotsa

Country: Russia
Label: Not on label
Year: 2011
Genre: ambient, post-industrial, neofolk
Tracklist

Trance-like, shamanic ambience via a collaboration of two Russian powerhouses. Moon Far Away is one of the most outstanding neofolk bands in the world, whereas Vishudha Kali is a well-established ambient/post-industrial project with a "Ride the Tiger" sort of attitude to art and life that Julius Evola would be proud of. The combination of the two projects here is explosive in a very good way. Strongly recommended.

Year: 2011
Genre: neofolk

Admittedly, not the best Sol Invictus release, but it has some nice moments. Guest Andrew King especially shines here with interpretations of the traditional "The Sailor's Aria", "Edward" and "Cruel Lincoln".

Rome - Our Holy Rue/The Merchant Fleet [EP]

Country: Luxembourg
Label: Trisol (Ger.)
Year: 2011
Genre: neofolk, post-industrial
Tracklist
Download

Exciting new two-song EP from the Luxembourgian masters, released exclusively on vinyl and limited to 999 copies. The first track, a rough industrial number reminiscent of The Guilty Have No Pride era Death in June, will be quite a surprise for those accustomed to the more melodic nature of this band's recent work. The second track has a more familiar sound - both tracks, however, are excellent as usual. Keep a lookout for the upcoming full-length album "A Cross of Wheat".
